CHRISTMAS EVE

This is a festival celebrated by the Christians on the 25^th of December each year to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is made merrier by decorating a Christmas tree with multi-coloured lights. Presents are placed under the tree to be opened on the actual day. Christmas carols are sung at Christians’ homes by choir groups who are invited to do so. The host will give a donation to the choir group for their performance. The night will be filled with singing and dancing. Children are not encouraged to follow but instead will be asked to sleep early because it is believed that Santa Clause will bring them gifts when they sleep.
